Assistant Coaches

Cathy Mallon

Cathy comes to Jersey Diving Academy with 20+x years of coaching experience, dating back to swan dives and wooden diving boards. A gymnast turned “trampoline-ist” turned diver turned math teacher, she combines her passions of flipping and twisting, physics, and calculating trajectories all into one career and couples it with the joy of making it fun.
Cathy has coached at all levels, including numerous years in Princeton Area’s Summer League program (PASDA), most recently with the Community Park Bluefish. She coached 13 years at the High School level (combined between West Windsor-Plainsboro HS and Montgomery HS), and was honored with the NJSIAA Swimming Coach of the Year in 2017 for her contributions to the advancement of High School Diving in New Jersey. Most recently Cathy coached at NCAA Division I Seton Hall University where she
produced a Big East Champion and was part of the Coaching Staff of the Year (Men’s Swimming and Diving Team, 2018).
Cathy was a 4-year Varsity Collegiate diver at Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) as a National Qualifier and Academic-Honor Athlete, and inductee into the TCNJ Hall of Fame Team of Distinction in 2013. After a 25-year hiatus, she now enjoys Masters Diving with East Coast Masters Diving Team at TCNJ. Her two proudest achievements in her entire life so far, though, are her sons Tyler and Sean.
